GCP Light

This course is NOT sufficient training for staff who will be actively involved in Clinical Research.

It is only appropriate for staff who are expecting to come into contact with clinical trial participants in the course of their normal clinical activities - most commonly it is provided for ward nurses working on a ward where the patients participating in a particular trial are expected to be regularly attending as inpatients.

If you are, for example, taking patient consent for research, managing research data, carrying out trial specific assessments or procedures and/or you are going to be listed on one or more Delegation of Duties Logs, you will need to attend a more comprehensive GCP course instead.

Course Outline

This forty-minute course will provide an informal and basic overview of the fundamentals of Good Clinical Practice. The training is based on the principles of GCP and The Medicines for Human Use (Clinical Trials) Regulations.
