Service Provider Selection and Oversight SOP

This SOP describes the process for selecting and overseeing service providers involved in clinical trials, ensuring that contracts, suitability checks, and oversight arrangements are in place before and during the trial. It applies to all clinical trials sponsored, co-sponsored or managed by King’s Health Partners (KHP).

Service provider selection may begin before submission of a grant application.  All service providers should be identified and discussed at the trial kick-off meeting if known.

The KHP organisations’ Research Contracts Managers are responsible for ensuring that an appropriate contract is in place with each service provider. Service provider suitability is assessed based on trial needs and prior experience.
