The Commercial Team at the Kings Health Partners Clinical Trials Office (KHP-CTO) provides a streamlined service for commercial sponsors wishing to conduct clinical trials within the partner institutions to ensure that there are common, efficient processes for the set-up and administration of clinical trials, and to assist investigators wishing to engage in commercial trials. The office includes clinical quality management and a training function, enabling implementation and maintenance of common high standard processes across the partner institutions by ensuring that all members of staff involved in clinical research are fully equipped with the skills and knowledge required to conduct trials according to prevailing best clinical research practices.
KHP-CTO have developed policies and processes to streamline clinical trials administration, quality and compliance. This activity hinges upon a collaboration agreement that delegates the management of these activities to the Director of KHP-CTO.
The objectives of the Commercial Team are to provide:
speed and quality of trial feasibility
speed and quality of negotiation and sign off of agreements and budgets
transparent pricing of trials and distribution of income
efficiency of tracking and invoicing of trials
training of investigators and their teams in GCP and regulations
