GCP Light Training
About this course
This course is for staff who are not actively involved in a clinical trial, but who may come into contact with trial participants during their normal clinical duties.Â
This 40-minute interactive course provides a concise introduction to GCP, with a focus on safety and the importance of robust documentation.
The Chief Investigator (CI), Principal Investigator (PI), or study team must confirm that individuals are not actively involved in the clinical trial.
 This course:

- Is not sufficient for staff who are delegated research tasks (e.g. taking consent, managing trial data, conducting trial-specific procedures, listed on a Delegation Log etc.).Â
- Is only available by prior arrangement and must be approved as appropriate for a particular trial. It is delivered as a departmental or trial-specific session, either face-to-face or remote depending on availability.Â
To request a session, please contact the KHP-CTO Training Team. Â
Who should attend?
- Clinical staff (e.g, ward nurses) providing routine care who may encounter trial participants.Â
- Staff whose contact with research is incidental, not active.Â
